We’ve travelled all across Italy for years. Italy is our favourite destination, and we’ve always experienced excellent food and warm service. Until today. We waited ten minutes in the rain to enter this restaurant. We were the first guests to be seated. We ordered within ten minutes. I came specifically for the polpette di ceci, printed on the menu of the day. After thirty minutes of waiting, the waiter returned to inform me that the dish was finished, with a cold apology and no explanation. I had to order something else, not because I wanted to, but because I had no choice. I didn’t come here to eat just anything. I came here for that dish. Later, I ordered a tiramisu. Once again, I was informed it was also finished. Let me repeat: we were the first guests to arrive. And within thirty minutes of opening, this restaurant had already run out of two items printed on the menu of the day — including tiramisu! In Italy! This is not a question of supply. It’s a question of how a restaurant treats its guests. So I’ll end with a direct question to the management: Was this a case of failed organization, or did you simply decide we weren’t worth serving? Either way, congratulations! You’ve earned a medal for being the first restaurant in Italy to treat us like an inconvenience.

Well, the menu list is reduced there aren't much options to choose from, it's totally overpriced (30€ first course.. Not even in Venice) compare with the quality and portions in every dish, sadly we believed in the reviews, people tend to be satisfied with the little choices the offered. Food is nothing special...What I hated most is how pushy the waiters are.. After literally TWO MINUTES 3 different waiters came to ask if we were ready to order and the lunch went like that until coffee time, the brought as caffè even before finishing our bottle off wine...ah just not to forget when the starter arrived (tagliere) the waiter didn't realise THAT HIS THUMB WAS PLACED IN THE SLICE OF PROSCIUTTO, So disgusting... Such a disaster...mi mother in law make same dishes 100 times better avoid this tourist trap.

We found this place by simply walking by, and wow, we didn't know you could find heaven tucked away in Ferrara. A Michelin Star dining experience was a welcome surprise! Every dish we had was better than the one before the last...save room for dessert and drink the house red - it is perfecto!

Incredible dinner at this hidden gem of a restaurant. The staff were very friendly, the food was insanely good. We were very lucky to get a table for 6 without booking so I would recommend booking in advance if you can because it is very popular with the locals.

At our first day in Ferrara we saw this restaurant and said, we should have dinner over there. With high expectations we went on Sunday evening and everything was just perfect. From the storytelling of the history until the ambiance and local and traditional dishes. We loved it, thank you!
