Disappointing experience. Super salty pasta (both), and the sea bass which costs 30EUR is nothing different from my easy house make, just fry over throw on the plate, what is that?? We revisited after 10months when it was good, but now they raise price around 30% as of Oct 2025. They have signature bread but they didn’t serve us until we ask for it. Service is no longer good. The male staff doesn’t give a dam. Feels just spoiled by tourist.
Very cosy place in the historic center in Firenze. Excellent food and wine. Pasta with truffle is delicious. Excellent service. Reservation is necessary
It was our last evening, and we were craving Italian comfort food – a delicious, classic pasta. We found ourselves at Lo Scudo and immediately noticed the warm, family-like atmosphere. Local guests greeted the waiters as they arrived and others were already enjoying their meals. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. We ordered one bottle of the house wine which was great! Each of us ordered the pasta we were in the mood for, and it completely blew us away – pure satisfaction. If you’re looking for an authentic experience in a traditional restaurant, this is the place to be. Grazie mille!
It was such a fun, unique experience picking out your meat, watching it butchered and grilled to order! The meat is thick, juicy and full of aged beef flavor. I ordered sauté spinach on the side and it goes great with the steak 🥩 prime location in Florence. Overall it was an experience worth trying.
The best Italian food that I have had. Pizza so fresh and the pasta was amazing. We came for the lasagna and tried the clam linguine, pear gnocchi, lasagna, pizza and wine. Best service and a bit off the beaten path in Florence but worth the time to find this place. Lorenzo was pleasant and his service was spot on. We loved his place and we will be back from the US to eat here again!
