Delicious sandwiches, medium line. We went at 11:45 and waited around 20 minutes to order. Very nice you can customize them. Good portion of meat on each. Not great seating available. Toilet for customers which is nice.

You'll hear people say that these sandwiches are better than All'Antico Vinaio. The breads are completely different so you can't compare 1 to 1. This place uses a crunchier bread, so if you like soft foccacia this might not be for you. Is it the best sandwich in the world? No, but it was still good. We tried 3 different ones: Suicida, Accidiosa, and Golosa. They were all delicious but felt like they were missing something, maybe something acidic. The Suicida was nice since it haf a lighter fresher feel to it

I went during lunch and waited 30 minutes in line - and I’d do it all over again. The sandwich was hands down the best I’ve ever had: fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and perfectly balanced. This place is popular for a reason, and the wait only builds the anticipation. If you're in Florence and craving something unforgettable, I' Girone De' Ghiotti is a must. Just be prepared to queue… and maybe plan your next visit before you even finish the first bite.

Been in Italy 5 days and this could just be the best meal we have had so far. My wife got the #2 and I got the #7. They were heavenly ( as if Michaelangelo’s hands of God had made the sandwiches). The meat, the bread , the dressing. Had it for lunch and thinking about going back for dinner. The line outside extended down to the end of the block and took about 25 minutes. It would have been worth an hour. Also there are a few tables upstairs that no one seems to use which means we did not have to eat it standing in the street. Don’t miss this place.

Best sandwich in Florence! The line can be deceiving but it moves quickly so don’t be discouraged, these are worth the wait! Take a look at the menu in advance so you know what you want at the counter. These Gus move quickly and you’ll have a warm toasted sandwich in no time. We tried their #1 and Rossa! The #1 was our favorite with the spicy spread adding a kit to our taste buds. And the toasted bread was a welcomed crunch to the other versions of this dish. They offer seating upstairs but most folks just grab and go as your sandwich comes nicely wrapped ready to eat over the counter. For the price and toasted bread this place won our vote for best sandwich in Florence!
