My wife and I took my daughter and five of her friends attending school in Florence to this restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The food, and a lot of it, was unbelievable. We started out with a caprese salad, bruschetta, and a charcuterie board (sorry, no pics). All were delicious. We ordered 2 orders of the Bistecca alla florentina steak for the table, AMAZING! My wife and I also split the pappardelle with wild boar ragu which was one of the best pasta dishes that we have had since we have been in Italy. The staff was friendly and fun. I highly recommend this restaurant for ann incredible experience!
I studied in London, and I went on an Europe trip before going back to my home town. It was my last night in Europe, and I decided to enjoy my final meal here. It is very interesting of how ended up here, since I actually never thought of it at the first place. I was originally browsing for ceramics in the area, however, I couldn’t find any that I like and all ceramic shops have closed at the time. While walking back to my hostel with the upsetting circumstances, I caught the unbelievably aroma of umami within the streets ahead of me, in which I traced it down to this restaurant. I was welcomed with great hospitality and honesty. Originally, I wanted a seafood pasta, however, the host told me that there were only clamps. Although hesitant, I still decide to give it a go. I ordered the clamp pasta and the steak, and it was just incredible. I ended my night with this amazing tiramisu, an exceptional note to conclude my journey. I managed to took a few images of my food and the chef in action with my retro camera, let just say the food is a pure representation of the passion towards creation of food. Definitely a must visit.
Fantastic food! Up with the best pasta dishes we have enjoyed during our time in Italy. The place was clean and a lovely layout and decorations. Service was amazing. Helpful as we talked through the menu choices. The food came out at a good pace without feeling rushed. Delicious! To watch the chef and staff prepare dishes was a treat to see. Even on the way out the door, the chef made sure we enjoyed our for and visit. Highly recommended.
We stopped here as soon as we landed in Florence…and came back 2 days later because we loved it. The Steak was cooked to perfection and goes perfectly with the roasted potatoes. The Pesto and the Truffle Pasta were also lovely. Good wine selection and atmosphere. Highly recommended !
Excellent and attentive service. Excellent and authentic food! We got the vongole, pici all’aglione, and ravioli di burrata - all were really good. Pasta was cooked to perfection and sauce was rich and delicious. We enjoyed this meal SO much, though the panna cotta was slightly tough. Be sure to make a reservation, because we didn’t, but the boss went above and beyond for us! Very grateful that he let us in to enjoy this perfect dinner
