A very poor experience here. Unwelcoming at the start. We ordered pasta. It was ok but my dish arrived just as my wife was finishing hers. Her parmesan arrived with my food. There was a mumbled apology for all the mistiming. How about a compensatory glass of wine? Looks like they prioritised take aways over our meals. A very disappointing experience watching each other eat.
Coming to Ischia, I had no thoughts on what to expect food wise especially in a place with so Many tourists. However when I saw Nonna working in the kitchen at Cucina Fondicelli, I knew I was in for an amazing meal. The Italian shakshuka dish & this freaking homemade linguine di ischia was the stand out dish
A Cozy Gem in Italy – A Must-Visit! I ate at this restaurant several times during my stay in Italy, and every visit was a treat. The food was truly traditional Italian, full of amazing flavors and clearly made with care. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere made me feel right at home. Highly recommended if you're looking for an authentic and cozy dining experience!
One of the best meals we’ve had on the island - and for a fair price! The fried gnocchi were crispy and tasty, the parmigiana was full of flavor (best one so far), and the spaghetti with cherry tomatoes was simple but perfect. The Diavola pizza was amazing – probably one of the very best pizzas you’ll find on Ischia. Dough was full of flavour, chewy and sweet - topped with a tangy sauce to balance the flavours and the piccante salami was the cherry on top. Great service and cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended for a real bargain close to the harbour. Grazie!
We were lucky enough to stumble across here on our first day in Ischia. The server was kind and patient despite us not knowing any Italian except hello and thank you! I had the caprese salad and Napoli style pizza which were both so delicious!
