Nice place and friendly good service. Food was fair. Risotto was under cooked (crunchy rice) with nice flavor and salmon was dry. Salmon is not a local fish and my expectations were low, but my experience was lower. Maybe this was a one time mistake with two dishes . This happens in the best of restaurants , but two of four dishes being off makes me wonder. Waiter did offer to get something else. I have been to Lucca many times for weeks and months straight over 40 years, I believe you can do much better elaewhere. I wonder about the reviewers who say this is the best meal thwy had in Italy or even Lucca. My observation was this place attracts tourists much more than locals.

Oh my! Best dinner we’ve had so far in Italy! Pear ricotta ravioli and clam linguine were superb! But the grilled chicken and rosemary potatoes stole the show. I’ve never had grilled chicken be so flavorful! I read about this place on a blog or someone’s social media and decided to try! Great decision!!

We visited Lucca on a whim and decided where we wanted to eat. I’m very particular about restaurants and this restaurant seemed really nice and interesting. Unfortunately online we couldn’t book a table anymore so I sent a WhatsApp… and they still had space. The staff were very welcoming, the wine very good and the food…. Nothing but amazingly flavourful! If you are able to stop by Lucca, have your evening meal here!

Amazing food, very friendly people. Please please please spend 5 more minutes walking to this place instead of the other random places. You'll be amazed and surprised by the quality of the food!
