Followed another review about gluten-free and vegan options - and so glad we did! My mom is celiac and we are both vegan - and the menu had several options for us. The servers and chefs are very knowledgeable and able to recommend things for different diets. We got two different types of pasta and vegetables which were very delicious. Restaurant is completely vegetarian and was full! Would recommend it wholeheartedly for those who want a casual environment, with gluten free and vegan/vegetarian options! Ingredients were fresh and delicious.
First things first, if you really want to eat here, get a reservation. Secondly, take a look at the people seated around you. I did neither of those first two steps. They kindly squeezed us in, and after ordering I realized the clientele that was occupying their seats. Mainly British tourists (no hate to the UK, but let’s be real here), and I got the vibe of the Italian version of an artisanal burger bar. Actually, on the artisanal burger bar subject, it checked all the boxes ✅spunky decor and atmosphere (very cute) ✅local artisanal sodas (best part) ✅a wait so long you can’t help but notice when the people who came after you (also with no reservation) were served before you ✅food that is presented well, but is mediocre at best (very sad about that) ✅way overpriced for the quality (I have been SEARCHING high and low for some pasta in this town. This is Italy! Land of pasta! The fact we are in Italy is why I’m leaving the review I am, because you cannot come here with the thought you will have a good Italian pasta) Consensus: looks cute, not worth it. Made me depressed after spending so much on it.
Went there one evening during the week, the place was almost full (tourists) and the atmosphere quite chill and relaxed. You can order at the counter and then go sit at your table. We took a nice red wine and tried several dishes: the ‘sformato di carota’ was delicious, especially the vegetables accompanying it; the quinoa in salsa di carote was delicious, as well as the bruschette and the ravioli. The thing I liked the most is that there are plenty of gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options! Last but not least, good value for money. I’ll definitely go back!
We were here for lunch. The whole menu was explained to us in English, which we did not expect and it was a welcomed suprise. The food is good and the variety is great. It is busy but we had no issue finding a table. They offer water for free. Bread and parmesan is also a service. Which is not typical for touristy areas. The desserts were however average, but it's a pasta place so that's alright with me.
Glad we found this place, and I highly recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner! They serve delicious pasta dishes, starting from classic tomato sauce to more complex pasta creations, in a very easy going setting. I finally found my vegetarian ravioli with a delicious sauce made out of honey, garlic and pistachios that was simply yum! This was a creation that I hadn’t seen before, especially not vegetarian. The menu offers many vegetarian options. Tiramisu war great as well. Salads looked very fresh but we didn’t have the chance to try.
