Lo Scalco Grosso is a true gem in Mantova. The moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a tasteful and slightly quirky interior that sets the tone for a memorable experience. The service is impeccable—attentive and genuinely friendly. The menu (we had the signature dish one) is where the restaurant really shines: every dish is both surprising and deeply satisfying. The flavors remain rooted in Italian tradition, yet each plate is elevated with an elegant, modern twist that keeps you curious from start to finish. We will be back!

A great find during our visit to Italy. The restaurant offers amazing food with a twist and the owner and staff are very friendly. Definately recommend a visit and we also look forward to our visit next year during VinItaly!

Execellent. The food is traditional ( city- specific, not just Italian specific), well cooked and even better served. The Pumpkin Tortelli (traditional dumplings) are amazing and Italians from all over the country know about this dish. Clean, quiet, good wine selection. Highly Recommended.
