Enoteca Svanen

I had a fantastic experience here! The Fiorentina steak was cooked to perfection – full of flavor and simply amazing. On top of that, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole visit even better. The location is beautiful and adds to the overall charm. Definitely a place worth visiting!

We stumbled upon Enoteca Svanen and ended up having one of our absolute favorite meals in Tuscany. It’s the kind of place that feels like you’re being welcomed into someone’s home — warm, personal, and unpretentious in the best way. The view is stunning (especially at sunset), the food was simple but perfectly executed, and the service felt like family. We shared everything family-style — from the melt-in-your-mouth bistecca (unreal) to the crispy potatoes and delicious house wine. The whole evening had this cozy, unhurried vibe, with little surprises along the way (homemade digestifs, anyone?). You can tell they care deeply about what they serve and how you feel while you’re there. If you’re in Montalcino and want something genuine and special — not flashy or overly polished, just real — go here. I already want to go back.

We were made to feel very welcome by the hospitable people of Enoteca Svanen and greatly enjoyed our evening. Excellent value for Brunello as well.

Absolutely recommendable restaurant (on top of the winery) ... good food quality (focus on typical - a bit rustic - Tuscany meat dishes and home made pasta). Porcini were maybe best. Very nice wine selection at very (!) fair prices. Despite all the foreign tourists (including us) in Montalcino - very home Italian hospitaliy and friendliness. And I would always recommend to take out some House Brunello "Podere Canapaccia".
