Vicus - Trattoria Napoletana

Simply delicious and most friendly owners in Naples. The restaurant was full of locals and Italians traveling to Naples ( that’s when you know it’s really good). I’m usually not a big fan of sea food pasta but those were so delicious that I stopped sharing my plate with my husband and finished it all! We are definitely going back to Naples and having a stop there.

I usually can't be bothered with giving a review only when it's worth writing about, WOW it really is worth writing about. The simplicity of the dish's is great but the love and care for the ingredients is what made it so special, I had the scrapariello pasta and my wife had the Genovese-style pasta. The tomatoes were singing with flavour the pasta had the perfect bite to it. My wife's dish was cooked so well you could taste that it was cooked for a long time as it should be. This is our 9th night and it's the first time I want to write about where I've eaten. Not the easiest place to find but really worth your time and effort to find this jewel

It's our second day in Napoli and we've already tried several trattorias this one has been the best so far! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We arrived right at the opening (7pm) and they took the time to ask about our visit and even gave us some great recommendations. The food was flawless: fresh, generous portions, and reasonably priced. A must-try if you're visiting Napoli. Their mixed grilled seafood plate is absolutely unmissable!

I forgot to take a photo of the Genovese, but we impromptu popped into this restaurant for a meal and were blown away by the quality of the seafood and the lovely service from our waiter. The sardines were fantastic, as Australians we are quite picky with seafood but everything was so incredibly fresh and they were perfectly battered and I love they have you vinegar to spray on themz The portions are fantastic, the octopus was also so fresh. Genovese felt like a hug. Thank you so much ☺️

If you're in Napoli, this place is a MUST! Every dish we ate was incredible, the service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was authentic. I'm so glad we found this gem.
