Came here based on the reviews and I was utterly disappointed. Not sure how they have a 4.6 in reviews unless they have been rating themselves. Ordered spaghetti and octopus for 16eur and all you got was a tiny bit of octopus tentacles. It was hardly worth the price. On top of that, the sauce was overpowering and had too much salt in for my liking. Didn’t check before tapping the card but they charged me an additional 4 euros for two covers even though it was just me dining on my own and gave me two pieces of very stale bread. By this time it was too late to mention so I just left it. The only really thing I like about this place is the outdoor seating. I won’t come back again for sure there are many much better places around the corner for half the price with a better portion. This place is an embarrassment to the Naples food scene.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. However, there were five of us, and we were told that five different dishes would not be prepared because the kitchen only had three burners. This seemed rather strange, and we ended up ordering two pairs of the same dishes and one different dish
I came here to say that I liked this place but it was a little chaotic. The staff are working extremely hard, it isn’t calming because of this. They are friendly and speak multiple languages, though. The food was okay but lacked depth of flavour. I found it strange that the fried courgette flowers came with no filling, they were sadly tasteless. The wine however, great sized glass and beautiful tasting. It is cheap and cheerful, though.
We sit in the small separate room where the atmosphere was great. Food-wise: ham is great but mozzarella is too dry; cheese spaghetti and the octopus spaghetti are both great; tiramisu is not tasty as the cake layer is too dry and doesn’t feel like homemade. Service is tricky. The service I received is good, but I can feel the table next to us was more warmly welcomed as they keep asking them ‘how’s the food’ ‘is everything alright’ etc.
This was our first meal in Naples, and we had high hopes for authentic Italian food—but it was a huge letdown. The service was chaotic; we were moved from table to table and felt rushed the entire time, as if they just wanted us out. we didn’t get an plates or cutlery until we asked them after a few minutes after our food arrived. The prawn pasta was €20 and came with only three prawns (not super fresh) and undercooked pasta. The meatball dish was €12 for one meatball and some pasta. We also tried their special squid—€14 for four tiny baby squid and tomato’s. In total, we paid €82 for three adults and one child. Which we had food , one beer and two bottles of water. Definitely overpriced and underwhelming. Wouldn’t recommend.
