Started off with the frittatina Della Nona which was solid taste wise and a great value for the price. For the mains we got the steak with salad and the lardiata dello chef. Both were reasonably priced and tasted like home cooked comfort meals, with the pasta being a personal favourite. Steak was a little over done for my liking but just mention that to the server if you like it a particular way, otherwise it comes out medium, but the flavour was on point. To end it off we had the tiramisu which was perfectly light and had great flavour. Our server was very friendly and made us feel like family and the plates were spaced out perfectly. Ambiance was standard. Overall was a great experience. Highly recommend.
The food was delicious, but even better was the atmosphere, absolutely friendly, warm, homely and you can feel that it is run by a family who really cares about their guests and coworkers. We spent 5 days in Naples and came back twice because of the kind treatment and perfect food! So if you visit this bustling city, take a rest at Nonna Anna!
We had just arrived from a long train ride and Luigi, Nonna’s son, made us feel welcomed. We were beside the hot pizza oven (could be too hot for others but we got used to it). We also had a direct view to the kitchen and saw the chef preparing everything as the orders came in. The food arrived piping hot and was quite tasty. We also ordered a salad (ingredients were VERY fresh) to complement the pizza and pasta dishes we ordered. The food was unpretentious but just like a Nonna would prepare for her grandchildren, who were pictured on the wall of the restaurant. We had a few laughs w the other staff/family even though we did not know much Italian. All in all, authentic food and an authentic Italian experience.
This shop is in the side street near the metro parking. Came for the desserts and the tiramisu was good. Very moist but fresh feeling. There were some waiting periods and staff members were very busy so didn't get much service or menu handover. However we knew what we wanted to ordered and it was ok. Nice and cosy atmosphere but service levels could improve for sure 👍
The great things about this place... close to the train station with a bright well lit establishment. Menu choices are good and the food was good but nothing exceptional. They were very busy the night we came and entirely filled with tourists so they had their hands full so service was minimal. I'm not sure if we had the true experience of the restaurant the night we came.
