La Locanda del Monacone. Napoli, Rione Sanità.

Great place with great atmosphere! Although you need reservation to go there. The place is popular (and we'll deserved). They speak English, so call first. I went without reservation, but they did everything possible to accomodate me. And I was lucky to find a place as I saw later. Asked for their famous local braised beef pasta and they showed it into the menu to see the price. Delicious! Had a small accident (because they pulled my table quite in the middle of the waiters' road to the bar in their attempt to accomodate me). Poor guys were so apologetic! The best people ever! Because of that, they offered a discount! Really greatfull for that!

We went to the restaurant on Sunday lunch time without a reservation, it was really busy inside and outside. However, the super friendly guy from the restaurant found us a table for two after we waited for only 5 minutes, because some couple didn't show up for their booking. The food was so delicious, and the service was good and friendly.

The meat is so soft and tender it is almost like a Chinese braised meat — i cannot explain it but it is wonderful! Grazie mille for a wonderful first meal at my first time in Napoli.

Lovely restaurant with traditional Napolitan food! wouldn’t have known about it if we weren’t recommended it by a local and the food is just beautiful ! the octopus was so tender, beef ragu perfectly cooked and zucchini linguine so creamy and delightful ! service was fantastic and very friendly! 10/10 grazie mille!!
