Visited on November 20th between 3–4 PM. The woman managing the waiting line and the man guiding us to our table were both very friendly and welcoming. I truly appreciated their hospitality. However, the young waitress who served our table was unfortunately very unprofessional. I worked as a server in the U.S. for 4–5 years when I was younger, so I fully understand how challenging the job can be. Because of that, I always try to be patient and understanding. I have no problem with slow service or delays. But while I was ordering in English, she suddenly frowned and muttered something in Italian under her breath. I don’t know exactly what she said, but her nonverbal language made it very clear that she seemed annoyed just because I was asking a couple of questions about the menu. Later, when bringing the food, she practically tossed the pizza onto the table. She also put the wine glass down so forcefully that the wine spilled over onto the table. I didn’t get her name, but during that time slot there was only one young woman serving in the room to the right of the entrance. I hope management can provide some additional training, as her behavior definitely affected the dining experience.
The best pizza I ever had! Very tasty and big portions And although very highly rated, we didn’t have to wait in line. Would definitely recommend eating here at least once while in Napoli
I’m quite disappointed with this place, really. We waited 40 min for seats (Saturday, 7pm). The pizza was average - not bad, but definitely not what all the hype sets you to expect. The Marinara pizza was so full of oregano, you could barely taste anything else, but we liked the Diavola. They offer everything, including pineapple and chocolate puzzas, which I do not find very authentic. Water was served in PLASTIC CUPS, and beer in wine glass??!! Not only that the whole Europe is trying to get rid of plastic, but a restaurant with such a setting not caring to give customers a regular glass? Bathroom was terrible and in high contrast with the main area too - felt like using public restroom at a metro station. The staff are everything else but nice and polite, and service is quite slow. Dining area is beautiful and cozy.
After arriving we gave our names to the lady at the door and they called us in less than 10 minutes. The restaurant was not overly crowded or noisy. The pizza was exceptionally tasty. But I’m yet to try my second one so I can give a better opinion 😅 the prices were also surprisingly good for such a famous and central place. The service could’ve been a bit more friendly to match the high quality of the food but I guess nothing is ever perfect. Overall, an excellent restaurant that I’ll be visiting again.
I now get the hype and honestly it‘s well deserved. The pizzas were delicious and I can say it‘s one of the best in Naples. If you had to prioritize only one Pizza restaurant to go, this is IT! Fried Pizza is definitely one of their specialties but all their other pizzas are also amazing. No misses.
