Still, I think there’s a broader point to consider. Many cafés choose not to charge extra for plant-based milk, not because it’s cheaper, but because they see it as part of supporting more sustainable habits. Honestly, it’s hard to believe that the small amount of plant-based milk used in a cappuccino is so expensive that a €0.50 surcharge is the only way to break even. Other cafés manage to absorb that difference, which shows it’s also a matter of priorities and values. My concern isn’t the price itself, but the message it sends. Making the more sustainable choice more expensive discourages the shift we all need to make. It is great to see cafés lead by example and make eco-friendly options feel normal and accessible, rather than an “extra.”

I couldn’t find at least similar to cafeteria anywhere I went in Padova. Here you can actually open your lap-top on weekdays, do your work and enjoy your coffee. Cappuccino is creamy, I like it. They have a variety of snacks as well, some of them are homemade. Brunch and lunch… You can sit inside and outside. Atmosphere inside looks like a small cafeteria, all wooden with interestingly made chairs and tables. A unique experience, for sure. As a non Italian speaker, I very appreciate the staff’s kindness and help.

We had breakfast here — the coffee and food were pretty good. We ordered an avocado toast and a full scrambled egg breakfast. Note that you have to pay in advance before eating, as they’ve had issues with people leaving without paying. One downside: the waitress misunderstood our order and brought four coffees instead of two. We were charged for the extras and had to take them away, which we weren’t happy about. So make sure that you pay attention when he/she repeats your order.

Excellent bar right on the square. Great choice of drinks and food (plus great coffee) - special thanks for the service too, it was so friendly and efficient that I went back every day of my visit (and took more of my gig buddies every time) Thank You
