The Bequadro Restaurant and Sound in Parma was one of the best restaurants in out trip! The meal started with freshly baked, stick-shaped bread, crisp and flavorful, followed by a tasty starter and a well-crafted main course, each showcasing authentic Italian flavors. Portions were perfectly balanced, leaving me satisfied. Every dish was delicious, with fresh, high-quality ingredients shining through. The atmosphere was warm and vibrant, blending a lively yet cozy vibe with a touch of elegance. Overall, a high standard restaurant in Parma and the price is very reasonable compared to the food quality.
Fantastic food, but location a bit off the beaten path We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Bequadro Restaurant & Sound—the food was absolutely excellent. Each dish was beautifully plated and full of flavor, from the creative risottos to the standout Parmesan Egg. The live music added a memorable ambiance, and the service was attentive, friendly, and truly professional . That said, the location wasn’t quite what we expected. It was not in the charming historic center we had imagined but rather tucked in a quieter, less atmospheric area of town. It felt a bit disconnected from the livelier parts of Parma and made the walk there feel less scenic than anticipated. So while we’d absolutely recommend Bequadro for the food, music, and service, plan ahead for transportation or a pleasant stroll afterward—just don’t expect the postcard-perfect setting you might envision!
Bequadro is a great and unique experience that elevated our trip in Parma. The food was non traditional but captured the Italian essence of great taste and quality. As soon as we entered we were welcomed into an incredible atmosphere and vibes. Greeted and seated by the owner, who you could tell loved every bit of what he built as it is reflected by the great quality. We were extremely happy with the experience , the food was extraordinary that matches all the expectations of fine dining and more. The prices were very good. Then when you think it can’t get any better the live music starts to complement and enhance the food. The concept of the menu was easy set price for two or three courses making you focus on what you want to eat. We had the shrimp tampura, steak tartar, potato dumplings, strange risotto and cherry duck. We loved every single dish. Thank you Gian Luigi for creating such a magnificent experience :)
This place is a vibe! Gregarious waiter walked us through our options for both cocktails and food. Then later as we were eating he sat down at the piano and played and sang songs in both Italian and English (see the video)! Cocktails were good as was the food. But the Parmesan Egg was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Parmesan cheese in 3 forms over and around an egg. Simply amazing.
This was my best meal so far on the 10 days in Italy. Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, live music and a fun vibe. The food was superb in taste and presentation and creativity. Prices were more reasonable and I felt at home. Definitely deserves its number one spot. Bravo!
