We have had nothing but excellent dining experiences across Italy with the exception of this restaurant in Parma. The food was simply average and forgettable. The cocktails were the only redeeming part of the evening. The service, however, was the real disappointment. Our waitress was unfriendly and dismissive, creating an atmosphere that felt cold and unwelcoming. For such underwhelming food and poor service the restaurant was surprisingly crowded. Caveat emptor. With so many excellent restaurants in Parma there is no reason to waste an evening here. Not recommended whatsoever.

Terrible experience at Mama Bottega & Piaceri. The service was extremely rude and unprofessional from start to finish. No one spoke English, only Italian, and instead of trying to help they made us feel unwelcome. We were given a table and then ignored for 30 minutes before anyone even came to take our order. When we tried to call a waitress, no one answered or bothered. After finally placing our order, the food took 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive. When we asked how long it would take, the response was simply “we don’t know.” Meanwhile, several tables who arrived after us were served first. The waiters were all rude, impolite, and not even one person said sorry for the delay. This was by far the worst dining experience we’ve ever had. Avoid this place — it is absolutely not worth your time or money.

Exactly what we were hoping for! Great selection of drinks, nice beers, and generous appetizers. The staff were super friendly, and the guy who served us really stood out—he was knowledgeable and passionate, especially about the beers and sparkling wines. Great service and atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

What a nice & cozy restaurant with a great selection of cold cuts and parmacean cheese as well as a decent selection as well as reasonably priced Italian wines and beer. The staff is super friendly, courteous and attentive. Overall, a good place to enjoy some authentic Parma food with great staff.
