Three cheese appetizer was delicious with marmalade, honey and focaccia. Our homemade spaghetti was a perfect balance of flavor with the heartiness of the pasta. Enjoyed with red wine!
We had a great evening at La Chiocciola in Oct 2025. The food was exquisite, the atmosphere cozy and familiar and the only waiter I suppose is the owner of the restaurant since he has photos at the entrance with himself over the years. This also adds to the familiarity of the place and felt genuine Tuscan cuisine.
THE LAMB CHOPS ❤️❤️❤️ my friends and I agreed whole-heartedly that these were some of the best we've had in our lives - cooked to perfection, with a fragrant burnt/charred flavour but every bite still so juicy and tender 😘 the pastas were great too! Served by cute aged Italians, definitely worth checking out this hidden gem if you're around the area!
Excellent food, very good and responsive service, and authentic atmosphere complemented by the fireplace. We had the Bruschetta al Pomodoro, Cinghiale in a Vino Nobile reduction, grilled Lamb, White Beans, and Tiramisu. Run by Flavio, the only drawback is it is on the opposite side of Pienza from the Valley, and therefore has limited views.
Came in December at 12pm, and we ordered the cheese with honey and walnut, pasta with meat sauce, bread soup, and the wild boar with red wine. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS AND AUTHENTIC, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal in a cozy atmosphere, the service was great and welcoming as well! Highly recommend to anyone who is travelling to Tuscany :)
