We sat there to have lunch. We order caciao a pepe and tomato and garlic pasta, a green salad and two glasses of white wine. Initially the waitress questioned the existence of a non sparkling while wine. The pasta was soggy. And then since we sat outside we had bees all over and one entered the glass of wine. The waitress tried to charge us for an additional glass of wine when we asked to replace it. Plus the food is extremely over priced. Do not recommend at all. 🙁
Food here is simple and good. Nothing complicated; gives a home cooking vibe.
Tasty stuff here, very unpretentious place, simple attentive service. You cant go wrong by eating here. Prices are also fair 👍 I stuffed my face with a nice pici, my father had game al ragú, it was also pretty good. We were lucky to have a procession happening right next to our table. A priest walked barefoot on top of some leafs and flowers.
The food is next level. Three of us shared a platter of various aged pecorino cheese and Tuscan cold meats. So delicious. Lovely helpful owners.
I’m shocked to say that the cacio e Pepe was the best I’ve had in Italy. So creamy and didn’t split at all during eating. The pici was tender but al dente and the other dish we ordered of melted cheese kind-of fondue was also incredible. Pienza is known for its cheese and they do it well for sure! Highly recommend this spot for a complete hidden gem experience. Don’t bother with the salad, stick to the cheese-forward dishes.
