Osteria La Contrada

Food and service 10/10, the best in Riva del Garda. Do yourself a favour and have dinner here. We had several seafood dishes, all of which were excellent, fresh, and best of all, locally sourced. Staff were friendly and attentive. Luca, the owner is in touch with the entire service and is a stellar restaurateur.

One of the best restaurants in town, great food and great service. It’s fantastic to sit in a quiet spot without people staring at you eating like you experience in the main streets😃

Accidentally walked in while exploring the old city. Our experience was great from start to finish. The food was good, the price is adequate, the service was top. This place is definitely a solid option to have a proper meal while you’re in Riva Del Garda.

1 star might be a bit too low, but the higher the aspirations the higher the expectations. This restaurant is aspiring to be fancy, but sadly the aspiration is all there is. Not what you would expect from one in the top3 in the city. The size of the dish was decent, but the food veeery average. Took the version with truffles, but they were pretty tasteless. After I tasted it, nothing in the dish made me want to continue eating, a part from extreme hunger. It was supposed to be our fancy dinner at the end of vacation. When I asked for white dry wine I got offered a new bottle, without an option of choosing from at least 2-3 options, even when asked what else they had. Then more problems started. Got billed 4€ for water, we didn’t order. The covers for two were 8€ total and the card terminal wasn’t accepting contactless payments with my iPhone, which it said on the screen it accepted… so we got stuck… I think that says it all.

My husband and I had fantastic dining experience at Osteria La Contrada! We had the Castle Firmian local bottle of wine, Tagliatelle al Tartufo and the Seafood pasta. The service provided by Daniela, Gretel, and Victoria was truly exceptional - they were attentive and made us feel right at home. The food was equally impressive, with every dish we ordered being delicious and well-prepared. I highly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding service and delicious cuisine. A big thanks to Daniela, Gretel, and Victoria for making our visit so memorable!
