Delicious, fresh and huge variety of ingredients. Friendly staff helpfully explained and recommended various options to choose from. The sandwiches were big enough for 1 person. I am a sandwich-ninja 🥪 with years of experience and I would totally visit this place again! Enjoy!

Really nice place with both an indoor area and outdoor area. We choose to sit outdoors because of the nice warm weather. The menu was nice and easy to understand. We got a medium sized sharing plate which was amazing. The chairs available outdoors was not very comfortable so we left soon after finishing our food and drinks.

Exceptional Sandwiches!!! As someone who spends a lot of time researching food experiences and how service is designed around them, Pan y Salame completely exceeded my expectations. Let’s start with the sandwiches: they are, without exaggeration, some of the best I’ve had in my life. The quality of the ingredients is outstanding — every component is carefully selected, from the artisanal bread to the spreads and cured meats. I especially loved the truffle-based options — rich, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. You can tell that attention to taste and texture is a priority here. But what really completes the experience is how well thought-out everything else is: – The service is fast, kind, and multilingual (they offer menus in several languages), which makes the space welcoming to everyone, without losing local charm. – The atmosphere is casual yet curated: good music, a lively vibe, and a layout that makes you feel comfortable whether you’re dining solo or with others. – The wine list is small but well-chosen, with great pairings for the food. And the prices? Incredibly fair — especially considering it’s just steps from the Trevi Fountain, one of the most tourist-heavy areas of Rome. This isn’t just a sandwich shop — it’s a reminder that when quality, hospitality, and design come together, even a quick lunch can become a memorable experience. Highly recommended — a small gem that gets everything right.

Beautiful lunch at Pane e Salame. Tuna ciabatta and insalata a tonno were amazing. You really should try. Very close to the Trevi fountain and Parthenon. Great value and so nice!

Really nice sandwich place - lots of options and an easy way to order because they have the alphabet next to the options (rather than me trying to speak Italian). The fillings were nice and there was a good amount of them. We sat outside in a covered area, which was small but nice, and the staff were attentive. The bread is very tough, it was quite difficult to chew our sandwiches. This might be preferable to some people, but I would have preferred slightly softer bread because my jaw was hurting by the end.
