Just a few steps away from Piazza del Popolo, this amazing restaurant serves delicious pasta and steak. It’s highly recommended for a meal while you’re putting in 20,000 steps in Rome!
Straight up just ate the best vegetable soup I’ve ever had in my life. Wish I took a photo of the before. Great super chill atmosphere in the courtyard. Beats the hustle and bustle on the streets nearby. Our table had two of the pastas, a steak, and the Wellington. All tasted great. We come to Rome annually and will definitely make this a regular stop. Also they had the best bread we’ve had so far in this trip.
We had a wonderful meal here. Their complimentary soup was delicious, I wanted more! We started off by sharing the truffle and cheese ravioli (forgot the exact name) but the taste has not left my memory- wow, my tastebuds were in heaven! Also had a perfect filet with a truffle butter and potato au gratin. The courtyard had great ambience.
BABETTE CAKE - the crispy edges were ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. It was caramelised gingerbread crisp that was basically a burst of flavour. The complimentary dish - either soup or bread was a showstopper as well. The fragrance of the potato soup was unforgettable - cheesey and savoury. The wines were delicious - I had the drier Chianti Classico while my madame had the fruitier Chardonnay. The quiche was perfectly cooked, with a layer of cheese wedged between two lovely layers of quiche. Not to mention that it was recommended by our attentive and highly sociable waiter that helped us in every way possible, with our luggage to recommendations, and making us laugh.
Came here on the recommendations of a friend and a salesperson at the nearby shopping area. We opted for the quaint pleasant outdoor seating. Service was very friendly. Food was excellent. One of my best meals in Rome. My partner was somewhat less enthusiastic but still enjoyed the meal. The restaurant provided us complimentary small bowl of soup. Don’t know what was in it but it was delicious. I wanted to lick the bowl. It was better than seafood soup we subsequently ordered. Fried anchovies appetizer was flavorful. I was initially leery of these types of fish, but I ate every bit. The lamb chops were tender and delicious. I wanted to gnaw on the bones! Spiced seafood soup was loaded with fish and shrimp. Very good. Pasta was a bit on the salty side.
