It seems to be a good restaurant as many Italian locals were there on Sunday afternoon for their family lunch. We had some pumpkin paste starter and that was really good. The pasta I ordered was with truffle and cream and it was good as well. However my partner's papardelle was not so good. They have food wines. They close at 3 PM but still they took us in for lunch at 2:15. This I like. The prices are a bit high.
The food was very good, we came on a sunday, 45mins before closing time and they were still kind enough to receive us without a reservation. We saw many local whole families having their lunch all together and felt like an authentic experience. They also have a long list of wines to enjoy. The service was a bit so so in my opinion, as we have had friendlier in Tuscany region, but they were always professional and polite. The Pumpkin/Gorgonzola Tortino was amazing. Great fusion of flavors. There is a 10% fee for Service. Would come back.
The best restaurant we went to in Siena. We didn’t have a reservation, but we were warmly welcomed. The wine list is a show on its own. The service was excellent, especially from Ricardo and the owner, who were always attentive. I recommend the mushroom ravioli. Elegant atmosphere and fair prices.
I can not verify Chloe‘s Comment on the Vinatteri Restaurant! We had an exellent event in this nice Restaurent. Food was great and nicely arranged, service was just in time. A full menue with 1 white wine and 2 red wines from the region. Of course, we did a reservation on advance and the kitchen had time to arrange. We would come back any time! 👍👀👌
Disappointing experience - charming location however, the food was not good enough. We chose the menu at 22€ and were pretty disappointed. According to us, the amount of food served was not enough. The starter and main dish were made using products having average flavors and there wasn’t many spice therefore we found it pretty bland. We didn’t get to choose the dessert, we got industrial ice cream (straciatella and cream flavor). Service was pretty slow and not so attentive, we had to ask several times to get water refills but both waiters outside were smiley and polite. We had lunch outside but the inside is charming as pictured.
