Quite a pricy place for lunch despite a mediocre quality of food and presentation. We ordered the zucchini flowers and pike and polenta. The flowers were nice but a bit salty. Meanwhile the pike was served all chopped up, so it was not very presentable. There were fish bones in it too. The polenta tasted like university canteen quality. Coperto was 4 euro per person, although there was decent service. Also, due to bad ventilation, the cigarette smoke from the single smoking table outside went inside all the time. It is not enjoyable to eat with smoke surrounding your food.
Walking into La Dolce Vita in Sirmione!! This was one of the finest meals I’ve had in a long time. Octopus: Tender, perfectly seasoned, very fresh! Seabass: Cooked with precision. The skin had the ideal crisp; the flesh was juicy and flaky, gently infused but still allowing the natural freshness of the fish to shine through and the mint sauce was integrated perfect with the fish. Ravioli: An inspired blend of richness and sophistication. The stuffing was deeply duck-flavored without being heavy; the pasta wrapper delicate. The foiegrass sauce worked beautifully. Parmigiano Soufflé: The crowning glory. Light, airy, yet unmistakably full of parmigiano flavor. If that soufflé were a person, it’d be the friend everyone wants at dinner — charming, generous, unforgettable. Also the service was amazing. I recommend everyone to come to eat here while in Sirmione!
We had a beautiful lunch here. It was quiet and the garden area wasn't busy at all. Lovely to be under the bell tower. The staff were attentive and kind. Also anticipated our needs eating out with a 3 year old - his pasta came out first and they helped share out dishes. The food was excellent - we had the courgette flowers, lobster pasta and roast octopus. Highly recommended. Much better than many of the other eateries in the area.
Tucked away in one of the Simone side streets you’ll find this little gem. The restaurant also has a private outdoor area slightly further up from the restaurant itself, where you can watch the world go by whilst enjoying lunch. One of the waiting staff is very theatrical and lively with how he engages with the diners as well as his colleagues, but the service was friendly and helpful. The food was also excellent, combining local ingredients and other dishes from around Italy. A great lunch spot to get away from the crowds, hustle & bustle.
From start to finish, everything was spot on! Every single dish was well presented and really delicious. This is coming from a group of 8 including one child. We have nothing but great compliments of this restaurant along with the staff. Highly recommended!
