A very nice restaurant. They still have several dishes with "gueridon service", like their tartar, or their fish in salt. Atmosphere is interesting, and theater inspired. Most customers are "habitues". They have a good wine selection.

Very nice and authentic. Somewhat intense interior decor but in reality makes total sense considering it is a restaurant linked to the theater. Super service with generosity. Food is very authentic and family style. Amazing Parma prosciutto. And the wine selection by the glass is of very good quality, especially the tintillo 2012 at only 8.5 euros

Great food and service. Fresh fish. The owner is funny and welcoming and translated the menu for us 😊, they also serve food for kids although it’s not in the menu. Price is high but definitely worth it! We will come back!

Francesco and his team (including his delightful parents) delivered such a personal and genuine touch to the evening! The restaurant was vibrant, welcoming and warm (even with Covid transparent protection screens that actually added intimacy and a strong feeling of safety). There were lots of fascinating theatrical pieces and artwork on the walls. Beige-coloured crisp table linen and napkins added elegance and a touch of class. Food was delicious, authentic and clearly road-tested. The prawn dish (gamberi croccanti) was extraordinarily tasty. This is elegant and casual fine dining in the old town (historical part) of Varese. It represented a great start to venturing out to restaurants in 2022!
