I visited a place about a week and a half ago, and it was absolutely stunning! The ambiance was luxurious and beautiful. The food was also incredible - it was surprisingly affordable considering the quality of the cooking. Thank you for the wonderful experience, and we will be there again shortly
Capperi Restaurant & Lounge delivers an innovative dining experience that combines creative flavors and elegant presentation. A highlight is the Egg Cloud, a delightful egg soufflé paired with rich roast chestnut mousse, velvety pumpkin cream, and crispy chips, setting a whimsical tone for the meal. The menu features standout dishes such as the focaccia steamed with raw Veneto ham PDO Montagnana, complemented by creamy burrata and crunchy pistachio. The cannelloni of fresh pasta, filled with white ragoût and topped with crispy béchamel, ragusano cheese fondue, and pumpkin cream, is a comforting yet sophisticated delight. For a memorable main, the "Tuna Heading for Milan" presents a perfectly cooked tuna cutlet accompanied by braised fennel infused with saffron and veal juice, showcasing a harmonious blend of flavors. Desserts are not to be missed, with the TiramiSud, featuring ground chocolate from Modica PGI, subtly salted Nespresso coffee, and mascarpone cream with marsala, offering a modern twist on a classic. The "Brontese," a Bronte pistachio cake with a molten heart and vanilla ice cream, provides a rich and satisfying conclusion to the meal. Overall, Capperi is a must-visit destination for those seeking a unique and flavorful culinary experience in Vicenza.
Fine dining at its finest. Meals are prepared and prepared so masterfully, you might think they are straight out of VicenzaOro! Your experience starts with flavourful hors d’ouvres. Sicilian olive oil they offer is “Christmas came early” on your palate. About the main course… New words should be invented to describe how complex and aromatic their beef 🥩 is. Perfection is an understatement. Pistachio dessert is the perfect way to conclude the festival on your palate. Prices are quite reasonable. Wines are a tad expensive, but it is kind of the same in other Vicenza restaurants. Overall, a true 5 star experience, nothing short of a Michelin star restaurant.
I ate at Capperi back on the evening of 6 October 2022. Riding home tonight, in a beautiful Sydney sunset, I suddenly thought of the meal and how excellent it was in all respects. I don't know what made me think of it (perhaps it was the Vespa PX I was riding at the time!?) but the craft and delicate tastes of all the dishes came back to me and I remembered I didn't post a review at the time. It was my only "special treat" meal, during a short 14 day sojourn in the Veneto, on a budget, but the quality of the food and service meant it felt like great value indeed. I trust Capperi continues to thrive and serve food made with the same passion and fine flavours as when I was there 2 years ago.
I was hoping for a good plate of fettuccine but they only offered a meatless dish I settled on a plate of spaghettoni which tasted a little too much like mustard. The wife on the other hand had a serving of dolphin fish which she really enjoyed. The bread was terrific. The service was on point. Nice atmosphere and upscale.
