Versavee Restaurant Bar & Cafe

Wonderful experience and highly recommended!! The attention of the owner, Gabi, is excellent! He is very friendly. The atmosphere is quite nice especially during Shabbat as this is one of the few places that are open. The food was great - I ordered the chicken breast as a main and hummus as a starter. As an added bonus, they sell authentic Palestinian beer, brewed in the West Bank by Shepherd's Brewery!

Unfortunately the food is not that great. We ordered the mixed grill skewers. The beef kebab skewer was pretty juicy and flavorful, but I've had much better ones in the past. The lamb skewer was tough, not juicy. Not good. The chicken skewer was made from chicken breast (!?!?). Chicken skewers must be made from chicken thigh, or they'll dry out, which was the case. The starters were pretty good and the service as well, and that's why this restaurant got 3 stars and not less.

We went there for my husband's birthday celebration. Loved the food, atmosphere, cleanliness (the staircase leading up to the bathroom and the bathroom itself are one of my favorite spaces of the restaurant!), and of course, the hospitality of Gabi and the family. Good news that the restaurant is open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays! It will likely be open on more days in the months to come.

Truly excellent food in Jerusalem! We had the chicken and beef kebab and it was some of the best food we had on our trip! Also open on Friday night. Beautiful internal court yard for an atmospheric evening.

Out of the restaurants in old city Jerusalem this one is the most modern compared to others. There is air condition and a large menu. Food was tasty. Place was clean. This is not my first option of the whole city but as a tourist I recommend this place.
