ΤΟ ΛΙΜΕΝΙ

This was the most expensive place we ate at (106€ for two persons including one shared starter and one glass of wine) and most definitely not the best. The food was decent but not great, the bread was stale, the dishes came out in random order (the starter came first, but 5 minutes after they brought the sides and then 30 minutes after the fish (which is literally a plate with a fish, and a slice of lemon) -- I would expect the sides to come with the fish...). Of the three waiters we met, only one was somewhat friendly and welcoming. I don't often write reviews, but there are much better places in Kalamata.

Everything was great. We arrived at October when Greece is not busy, and everything was still fresh. The staff invited us to choose our fish in the kitchen. Everything was neat and tidy! Service was excellent& the location is amazing. Super recommended!

We had two pasta dishes. Linguini with seafood and ink linguini with cream and seafood. Both dishes were excellent and pasta cooked al dente. The ink linguine had more flavour. The tomato salad with burrata was a stand out dish. Simple but yet oh so good. A must have! Service was attentive and atmosphere was relaxing. It at the quieter end of the marina.

To Limeni in Kalamata is a very nice fish restaurant. The staff and the owner are very friendly people and I had the opportunity to be invited into the kitchen to be shown the fresh fish caught. I chose barbuni. The food and the restaurant setting is very nice. Full marks.

The location is great, right on the marina, so you can take in the views. The service was ok, one of the waiters was a bit abrupt/impatient. The food was ok, some of it slightly oily. Do make sure you review your receipt before paying, we were charged twice for bread, and separately for tomatoes and feta in the Greek salad (?).
