The culinary experiences have gone to a very high level! Veloute soup, beef cheeks, vegan lentil burger, chestnut stew, spaghetti with spicy sausage and much more from chef Kostas!!

Positives Our stay at Balcon Makrinitsa Hotel was truly memorable! Although we came to Pelion for work, we chose Makrinitsa for our accommodation – and it was the best decision. The location is unique: the very last hotel of the village, right next to the beautiful plane trees of the square, offering both authenticity and peace of mind. The food was excellent and the breakfast simply outstanding – rich, fresh and full of local flavors. The staff was amazing: always smiling, friendly and genuinely caring, making us feel like we were staying with friends rather than in a hotel. The room was comfortable, elegant and spotless, exactly as shown in the photos (I didn’t manage to take my own picture, but I can confirm it looks exactly the same in real life). A highlight was the apple pie with ice cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon – prepared exactly the way I love it, as if they could read my mind! The cocktails were also great; I had a lemon margarita and the taste is still unforgettable. Another special touch was the owner himself, who is also an olive producer. We bought some of his excellent olives, which felt like taking a small piece of the place back home with us. Overall, whether for work or leisure, Balcon Makrinitsa Hotel combines comfort, authentic flavors, warm hospitality and a true local spirit. Without a doubt, it will be our first choice when we return to Makrinitsa! Negatives The only minor detail was a few small fluff particles in the room, probably because everything is brand new and barely used. It didn’t affect our experience at all – everything else was simply excellent.

Recently renovated hotel in the most central part of Makrinitsa. Elegant place with emphasis on details. Excellent owners since we had impeccable cooperation and I am sure that it will be the same as hosts. Is also a good choice for food or drinks (i love the cocktails they made ❤️). Perhaps the most suitable place for someone to stay on their vacation to Pelion.
