Literally one of the best Thai meals I’ve ever had. I ordered the special fried rice with beef and chicken, cleared the entire plate without leaving a single grain behind. My friend had the pork ribs with rice; I didn’t try the ribs myself, but she swore they were the best she’s ever had. Our waitress was also incredibly friendly and welcoming. Thank you for the best Thai food in Amsterdam—highly recommend!
This is the worst restaurant I have ever had in my entire life. Not only the restaurant fails in terms of the food, it also fails in every aspect of a hospitality industry. The bald middle-aged man is the worst person I have ever met. He never smiled, never said thank you, and basically acted as if you were wasting his time. I asked for a spoon to share my food with my family. He was unhappy, being sarcastic, and would like to throw the spoon to me. I would highly recommend anyone not to visit this place as this place fails in every aspect of an FnB business.
If you're in Amsterdam and trying to find somewhere to eat that tastes so good and no bullshit, this is the place. Food is SO GOOD. The service? Excellent. The food is made by order, it's so fresh. Me and my husband order Chicken Green Curry and Pad Krapaw (chicken basil). We are so pleased and definitely will be back here.
We arrived late afternoon, around 16:30, and there was only one table occupied. The server was not impolite, but was not welcoming either. He allowed us to select our own table. Because it was a late lunch, we wanted to order something lighter. My wife went for the starter platter selection and I went for a chicken red curry. The first issue we had was that we had not met the €17.50 per head minimum, and we had to order something additional. A table minimum is understandable in a busy restaurant, but in a practically empty place, it seemed ridiculous. I wanted to leave, but my wife was tired and hungry, so we stayed and ordered drinks that we didn't really want or need. The food arrived promptly, but it looked unappetising and was poorly presented. The starter platter was swimming in soy sauce. The ribs were tough and stringy. The chicken drumstick was tough and tasteless. The satay chicken skewer was the only thing enjoyable. My curry was a watery slop which had been cooked so long that the coconut milk had separated out. The overcooked, tasteless chicken still managed to be tough. The vegetables were a soggy mess. The rice was a gooey mass. I ate barely a third of the meal. When the server finally arrived to enquire whether everything was OK, I told him that it wasn't. That was the end of it. No enquiries as to what was wrong. No offer to make restitution. He just slunk off and brought us the bill. It was the worst meal I've ever been presented with in a restaurant. Attached is a photo of the red curry.
Absolutely loved our meal here. Friendly service, excellent food and good portions. We asked if we could buy a large bowl of satay sauce and we got a giant serving (which we finished off). Would not go to Amsterdam again without having dinner here!
