Café Sonneveld

Good food everything was good . My mother in law and son got the ribs looked good. I got the Dutch dish not bad kind of a mash potatoes and meatloaf type deal still good. The kids loved the spaghetti and wife enjoyed the chicken skewers. Definitely come back again

Visiting Café Sonneveld was a real treat! The pork ribs were phenomenal—tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned with a rich, smoky flavor that just melted in my mouth. Every bite was a delight, and it’s clear the kitchen takes pride in its dishes. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The café itself has a warm, cozy atmosphere, with a casual yet charming vibe that makes it ideal for both a relaxed lunch or a hearty dinner. Watching the staff interact with other guests, you can tell it’s a place where people enjoy working and genuinely care about the dining experience.

Cozy cafe located on a quiet street corner, slightly away from the tourist crowds. Food was very average, but the service was very friendly and attentive. Nice place to hang out for a snack and recharge after walking the streets of Amsterdam. No AC, though.

We had dinner. Soup and shrimp as starter and ribs and meat ball as main. Every dish is super delicious. We loved all. We enjoyed our dinner so much. It was small and crowded place but the service is super quick.

Great vibe, always buzzing with people – lots of Dutch folks and also many Asian (especially Chinese) tourists, probably thanks to Red Book recommendations. The service is super friendly and relaxed. The food? Absolutely delicious! Almost everyone goes for the ribs – and for good reason. They’re fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. The mashed potatoes are also amazing – super creamy and comforting. Totally worth the hype. Would 100% come back!
