Restaurant Harper

Easily the best food I have had in the Netherlands! We stumbled upon the restaurant and were impressed by the menu. The service was EXCELLENT and the food was even better. I woke up dreaming about the meal this morning and are already planning to return with our daughter when we come back to town later this week. An absolute gem of a find and a “must do” for anyone visiting The Hague. Bravo!

I went here with friends during winter, and the atmosphere was absolutely lovely, cozy and warm, perfect for the season. The food was exceptionally delicious, and the wine selection was very good. We ordered several dishes from the menu to share, and we were really pleased with both the flavors and the presentation. We also had oysters to start, which were fresh and tasty, though some of them had a small piece of shell that made it a bit difficult to enjoy fully. Other than that minor detail, everything was wonderful, and we loved our experience here. We enjoyed it so much that we even lost track of time and ended up being the last ones to leave. Highly recommended!

Top level service, very friendly and helpful staff. First time in Den Haag and it started off fantastic with how we were greeted. The food was very reasonably priced and very delicious.

The restaurant is really nice and elegant. The waitress was kind and understanding when we explained that the food was good (the club sandwich had old bread, cold from fridge curry chicken and bacon). She removed it from the final bill. The burger was average. The spritz aperol was quite watery.

Last Sunday, our group of ten tourists enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Harper's and appreciated the pleasant atmosphere. We didn't receive our change back and decided to leave it as a tip since we were satisfied with the meal and the restaurant. However, when I returned home to Sweden and was sorting through receipts and expenses, I noticed a significant issue—the waitress had added an extra yogurt granola to our bill that none of us had ordered. I'm not sure if this was a mistake or if we were overcharged, but it was a major disappointment that affected our overall experience.
