This restaurant is truly a “hidden gem”. Located in the hart of the city in a church it is very romantic and cozy inside. They also have a nice terrace. Since we had dinner beginning of April we were inside. The atmosphere was really nice, private and lively. Staff really makes a huge difference when having dinner and this was the case at this restaurant as well. Very friendly, explaining about the dishes, asking us if we had a specific end time in mind, offering to refill our glasses of wine, etc. Being attentive and there when you needed her! We had a surprise chefs menu with wine pairing and they also offered nice non-alcohol alternatives. The food was really, really tasteful from beginning to the end. The small bites (amuse-bouches) we got at the beginning set the tone; interesting tastes, high on flavor and beautifully presented. The rest of the dinner was as good or better with the highlight being the “Beet-Wellington”. That blew me away. Huge shout out to this team make the restaurant! I have been at many restaurants and this is one that I will remember. It’s not a big place so you best book a table in advance to make sure you don’t miss out on a fabulous experience!
Very delicious and cozy place, the outside table are very comfortable. Gluten free and vegan food is possible but there is not much options. Very impressed that they have desserts without sugar and also gluten free, definitely recommend
I visit the Hague regularly and this is one of my favourite places to have lunch. Especially when the sun is out and I can sit outside. There is a nice tree providing just enough shade and the right amount of sun. The food is really great but if you really want to treat yourself, order some of their pies. My mum's favourite is the apple pie, mine is the chocolate pecan one. Your tastebuds will love you for this. When it comes to lunch, I am a big fan of their gnochi (not sure about the spelling). It has got the right texture, fresh ingredients and is made with a love and passion for food.
Beautiful plating, very well seasoned and balanced. On a nice day one can eat outside in the shade of a tree. The service is very courteous and professional. Both drinks and dishes show a great attention to details, and they are prepared fairly quickly even when the place is busy. Update: after a few years the quality is still up, and it's a joy to return here every time.
Very nice waitress and cute place; however, incredibly pricey. €4 for just some nuts to enjoy with a beer (almost €10 for 45 cl, and the glass wasn’t even full). Sadly, not worth it!
