I wouldn’t call this a dinner. I would call in a whole different kind of magical experience. Every bite is flavoured with aromatic spices and herbs that is totally different from the one before. I loved the mix of veggies and rice and the lamb was soft and tender in the sexiest possible way. The ice cream pistachio is a must! Totally recommend without any hesitation 100000/10. Service was lovely and the place is great too !
The food is absolutely amazing!! Service is also super nice and pleasant, it was just super busy so sometimes hard to keep track of our table. Definitely reserve a table. And go for the surprise menu, you’ll definitely be surprised - especially the chicken from the oven is mind blowing (so tender). Highly recommend!!
Visited here after recommendations of a colleague, and I myself will recommend this place to everyone I know. Despite not having a reservation, they were able to quickly find a table for us. The service was with a smile the entire evening, and the food was simply amazing. The spicy green sauce was a table favorite, and I even managed to get the ingredients for it! How big was my surprise when we were all three of us handed an extra bag of this sauce to take with us. This made an already great evening completely unforgettable. Thanks again to all the staff for their great service and the brilliant food!
Sarban offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a cozy yet slightly elegant feel that fits the Afghan cuisine perfectly. The service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed. With the surprise menu I think I had the Shor Nakhot as a starter. Kight, fresh, and a nice way to begin. For the main, the Salang Gerecht delivered tender lamb with fragrant rice, carrots, raisins, and almonds which was comforting and full of flavor. Dessert was Shirjakhe Pesta, a pistachio ice cream with cardamom that was both fragrant and refreshing. Prices are fair for the quality, and the portions were satisfying without being excessive. Overall, a lovely spot to enjoy Afghan food in Utrecht, and one I’d happily return to.
Very tasty food. Very busy restaurant, so service lost focus at the middle and end of meal. But waiters were very nice and explained everything on the menu.
