Restaurant Badhuis

We were very excited to eat here. We were half hour delayed and the staff were very accommodating which was great. However on arrival they brought drinks no food menu, which we had to ask for three times. Ordered a cocktail, the receipt was lost so it got hugely delayed - although the waitress realised and corrected it. No compensation thoguh. Food was very good looking, but starters were cold which was a shame. The fish in them was a bit lost in the mayonnaises and sauces. The mains were nice however, excellent fish well cooked. A bit pricy though at 25eur a plate (roughly) considering the size of the dish. We didn't get desert. When we ordered the waitress was surprised we didn't order a plate of fries - this seemed odd but made sense later! Overall enjoyable but wouldn't go back.

Wonderful food and good atmosphere with friendly staff, food quality has increased over the years, however the entrecote I had was a bit chewy, innovative dessert with a sweet caprese “salad”. Would recommend a visit!

Cool restaurant (note: out of the city centre) We made a nice walk there for lunch and were pleasant surprised by the interior and vibes. Light and bright and open kitchen (love that). We both picked sandwiches (note: not many options on the menu) for lunch. Service was fast and royal portions. For us personally the flavors were a bit too subtle. The lunch menu we saw served looked very promising though. So we are curious about their dinner menu too and we will come back for sure.

I went there with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary. We are new to the neighborhood and we would always pass by on our strolls and said we should visit the place. We decided to have chef's choice 4 course menu. We loved everything. We totally recommend the place to have some nice dinner ,with a warm atmosphere. The servers were really nice and fast acting. We were suggested a wine that we totally enjoyed and had 3 glasses each. Totally recommend for a special dinner date.

This is the type of restaurant that I (literally) bring my French father in law too. The quality of and originality/twist on Food and Wine well exceeds his standards while at the same time I'm able to provide him with the laid back but in control Dutch attitude that make it a super enjoyable Utrecht experience. Thank you! Will come back!
