A rather small restaurant but it has a lot outdoor seatings. The fish soup was creamy and flavorful. The fish and chips was freshly made and well prepared. The drafts was very good. The service was very adequate.
A lovely spot with a nice view of the square. They offer a wide variety of fish dishes. I tried the fish gratin with potatoes, which was good. Service was a bit slow, and orders took some time to arrive. It would be great if the restaurant considered that some people may avoid dishes cooked with alcohol.
It’s a nice place to have some good quality food. I’ve ordered Fish&Chips for dinner and it was simple yet delicious. Fish was done really well and portion was big enough to get full and I literally didn’t eat all day. I paid 424 Kr for Fish&Chips and a cider. Inside is pretty small but outside area is great and peaceful. I would recommend!
I had a tasteful experience here. I ordered the seafood platter, which came with a generous variety, small shrimps, big prawns, crab claws, mussels, scallops, oysters, and a selection of sauces and bread on the side. The food was fresh and full of flavor. The staff were really nice and attentive, making sure everything was to our liking. It’s a small place, but it has a cozy vibe that I really enjoyed. Being close to the central station is a bonus. I’d definitely visit again.
The food quality here is excellent for the price, but I left with mixed feelings—mostly due to the service. While our waiter was very friendly, the service was quite chaotic. Our order had multiple issues: the fish gratin we were excited about was first declared sold out, then oddly brought to our table (before we had even received drinks or appetizers). We had to point out the mistake ourselves. Our oysters were delivered to the wrong table, and instead of one fish soup and one fish & chips, we received two soups. Overall, it felt disorganized. That said, the food had its highlights. The fish soup was among the best we had in Norway—and we tried many. The fried cod bites were also a standout, especially thanks to the delicious sauce. The fish and chips were overfried, and the oysters didn’t live up to the price or expectations. In short: great food value, but inconsistent service left the experience feeling a bit off.
