It was my first time trying a traditional Norwegian waffle, and I was blown away! The mix of butter, jam, and brown cheese created the perfect balance of sweet and savory—something I’d never tasted before. The waffle was soft, warm, and comforting, though the portion was on the smaller side. Honestly, it was so good that I went back a second time before leaving Oslo. Definitely a must-try if you want an authentic local treat!
What a curious combination - jam, tangy sour cream and a salty cheese on a waffle. At first, it sounded almost impossible to enjoy, but somehow, against all expectations, it just works. The balance of sweet, tangy and savory is oddly compelling and surprisingly delightful. The classic sweet waffles are perfectly fine, satisfying, familiar and comforting, but they don’t inspire quite the same sense of wonder as that bold, unconventional pairing. Definitely a place for those willing to experiment with flavors!
Delicious traditional waffle! Tried the waffle with butter, jam, and brown cheese—it was an amazing combo of sweet and savory. The waffle itself was perfectly soft and warm. Portion was a bit small, but the taste definitely made up for it. A must-try if you're in Oslo and want something local and unique!.
I’d never had Norway style waffles before, and I ended up loving them. It’s kinda like a big eggo waffle with fillings inside The brunost cheese was pretty good, it tastes more caramely than cheesy. It also blends well with the waffle and other toppings, and is not overwhelming Note that the waffle itself is somewhat spiced, which my partner didn’t like. I didn’t mind it though
Definitely an overrated place. The waffles are nothing special—pretty straightforward in taste, and I didn’t feel like it lived up to the hype. I appreciate the story behind it, but that’s really the only highlight along with the music playing in the background. Tried to order via QR code to skip the line, but after completing the order it gave an error because of the busy time, and we were told to wait in line anyway—which was frustrating and felt like a waste of time. Overall, not a great experience.
