Amazing place. 100% recommend. Best food we had in Norway by far. We had a scallop and an oyster as starters - both were really good and would recommend. We wanted to try the starters but thought we would not be able to finish everything. As mains, we had the catch of the day and the risotto. Both were really well cooked. The fish was a bit tough due to it being some sort of cod but it was really well cooked and garnished so can’t complain. Risotto was perfect. Portions were a good size - not too big and not too small - just enough for a desert. We had the chocolate brownie/cake which was incredible. Also, service was super friendly, professional and recommended nice Norwegian wine (cider) Great experience, definitely recommend coming here. We didn’t book and got lucky - would recommend booking in advance
The best dinner we had in Bergen. We had the summer salad and Norwegian new potatoes to start off with. The salad came with caramelised local cheese but it would have been nice to also have an offer of a fresh simple salad as a side. The potato dish seemed a bit pricey but we enjoyed it. We had 2 catch of the day with rhubarb and hollandaise, super nice flavours however one fish was cooked better than the other. We finished it up with the elderflower ice cream which was refreshing and a delight. Would recommend!
We only could reserve one of the later tables, which explains the slower start into the evening. But, taste is what matters the most and this was excellent. Not so important for us, but the size of the portions was very good - not very common these days. Overall, both thumbs up for this evening. Thanks 🙏🏻 Lola, 👍🏻👌🏻👍🏻.
Great ambiance that struck a balance between cozy and cosmopolitan—warm wood tones, soft lighting, and a hum of contented diners. The beef tartare was a standout starter—hand-chopped and impeccably seasoned. Lola nailed the cod (catch of the day)! Flaky and tender with chantereles and pickles. The dish was both comforting and elevated. My wife and I shared this along with a fresh summer salad with goat cheese (also amazing!). Lola isn’t trying to be flashy—it’s quietly excellent. The service was attentive without hovering, the pacing was spot-on, and the menu showed restraint and creativity.
Eat here! Fantastic food, smooth service and a chill, simple ambience. Very large portions for the mains so keep that in mind when ordering starters. Menu changes a lot but we loved the scallop and halibut crudo.
