I really suggest this place if you want to try local food but not sure if you'd like it. It's a buffet, so you can try mini portion first. However, the food is delicious. We loved everything. Service is nice, too. Nicolas welcomed us and explained to us each meal. He was very kind. They also have a play room for the little one. I definitely recommend this place!

We wanted to try traditional Norwegian food so thought we would try Taste of Norway. The buffet was fantastic, the service was really good with explanations of each dish before we began, the food was deceptively filling and between three of us we tried nearly every food available, unusual setting but very pleasant. Would heartily recommend to anyone and would like to return

Great restaurant, food and atmosphere! I had such a great experience and was able to try all sorts of food that I have never encountered in other restaurants in Norway. I definitely recommend it to everyone! Very affordable!

On our first day in Norway we found this restaurant looking for a place to eat. Not sure about our daughter loving the buffet, the owner took the time to show us the meals and explained all the dishes. During our meal the owner regularly came to see everything was ok and even proposed drinks and dessert to our daughter that weren't included in the buffet. We had the opportunity to try several real Norwegian dishes for a very reasonable price. This is not an all you can eat crappy buffet, but a place were you find very good quality (viking snacks and whale meat for example), served with love. And yes, here also, you can eat as much as you can. This place should be promoted by the Norwegian tourist office.

The perfect experience for new tourists in Norway! A little taste of everything from the Norwegian kitchen. Also a great introduction to Norwegian culture, furniture and nature. The troll and smoke that suddenly appeared, and the sound of birds buzzing was our favorite.
