Pod Wawelem Kompania Kuflowa

It is a good selection to get local foods in a nice environment. We liked the dumplings very much but couldn’t enjoy too much the grilled lamb which was little bit burnt. The service was prompt and got seated without waiting. The restaurant has wide variety of beers which are very interesting to enjoy with friends. The food portion seemed small compared to price otherwise everything was great.

We walked in to Pod Wawelem around 1:30 in the afternoon and managed to get a table for four in the tram part of the restaurant. The beer offer was great and service was excellent. The schnitzel was great, as was the lamb sausage. It’s a shame all the fries were cold, which took the shine off our meal.

I had my very first meal and dinner in Krakow at Pod Wawelem Restaurant, and it was a great start to the trip! I came with friends and we tried a variety of dishes — everything was delicious. The pierogies were especially good, and my absolute favorite was the potatoes with sauce. The beers were also very tasty and paired perfectly with the food. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Krakow!

If you love Schnitzel then go here 😋 had with cucumber salad and fries. (In hindsight should have got mushroom sauce instead but still very nice). Great value for money 🎉 The restaurant is opposite Wawelem Castle, didn’t book a table, it was packed at 8.30 but only had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. Great service, food is high quality. Wanted chicken skewers but sold out, so was the pork so go earlier if you want either.

The food was served quickly and everything was delicious. Natalia gave me detailed menu recommendations and suggested the pork knuckle hungarian style instead of the whole knuckle. It came with a spicy sauce, which was very unique and I really liked it! A great experience with thoughtful service, thank you!
