We visited the Botanical gardens in Krakow. Close by is restaurant Margit, and it was a hidden gem. Traditional Polish dishes, freshly cooked. Friendly attentive service from Kamil who made us so welcome. Complimentary traditional Polish lard and bread on the table, try it because it’s very good. We shared a bottle of wine and enjoyed three courses plus coffee. We split the bill which was 198 Zloty about £40 each which included a 10% service charge. Very good value and and everything was delicious.
Tried this restaurant for lunch w my partner. We shared the pork tenderloin with potato dumplings and potato pancakes with goulash. They also provided bread with lard as a free starter. Including a large drink to share the total was around 140zl so not bad I think. It's simple but I rly liked the bread with lard. Good bread so good start to the meal. Potato pancakes were crunchy and tasty. Nice with the goulash which I also liked. The dumplings had a nice chew and the meat was v tender! I actually thought the chanterelle sauce could've been a lil more flavorful but still fine. Overall rly p good!
A very nice place to be and eat. The food was great, ranging from more traditional Polish dishes to general ones. Service was very good, they spoke English well, were very polite and made some small jokes. Price was reasonable, would definitely recommend!
Extremely tasty food. Everything was delicious! Great place to try local cuisine. Quite and cozy place!
Was searching for a good, homemade food and I've got exactly that! The staff was very polite from the moment I have arrived, until the very end. It was clean, warm, cozy, jazz music In the background. I've ordered chicken breasts with rice and vegetables. I've got also few slices of bread and lard, and warm fruit tea. Everything was amazing! The cost was around 65 Polish Zloty and the portion was really decent. I left satisfied, relaxed and I will be back whenever I will be Krakow again. A big thank you to the chef for that chicken breast - just the way I like it, thin and crispy, and the lady with short cut hair. She was a star!
