What a hidden gem. I always love to support local homemade restaurants, and this place met my expectations and beyond. I had traditional polish tripe soup (very good), beer, coffee and cheesecake. All very good and I feel much happier supporting local businesses.
There is a charming story behind the food and how it is served in this restaurant. Pyzy are Polish potato dumplings typically made with raw and cooked potatoes and sometimes filled with meat. They’re traditionally topped with fried onions and pork scratchings. Flaki (also called flaczki) is a robust tripe soup made from cleaned beef tripe in a spiced broth, often with meatballs in the Warsaw‑style version. The food is served in glass jars, and is much more interesting than what it tastes. Not my cup of food, to say the least.
It feels like you hit jackpot when you find a neighborhood joint loved by locals. The food was presented in a jar which I adore. Simple and delicious food in an unpretentious setting.
Authentic polish food packed with lots of flavours and very good ingredients. You can taste the love and craftsmanship of the chef in every bite. Defo worth a little detour. Couldn’t decide which food to get so I got multiple items, and each was Delish on its own.
We ordered ice tea and cake, they were both very tasty. We also loved the decoration and the staff was very nice. Great place.
