Shanti in Gdańsk is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. From the first bite, you can tell that the food is prepared with so much care and passion. Every dish bursts with traditional flavors that live up to expectations and leave you wanting more. The service is warm and welcoming, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Hands down, the best Indian food I’ve had so far in Gdańsk. Highly recommended for anyone who loves flavorful Indian food.

Shanti is a small street restaurant with 16 places outside. I was not inside, so I don't know if it's big or small. The service is top-notch. I'm not an experienced Indian food eater. But the waitress was understanding, patient and very smiling and kind. She explained all the dishes. And even made some special orders for me. The food was really good. And the potion was big. It was tasty. I like the place. I feel like it's authentic. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Mood: 3/5 The mood in 3/5 - I'm missing the small things. Maybe some soft/ low Indian music in the background. Or more traditional decoration. But this is a detail If you like Indian food. I recommend that you visit Shanti. P.S.: Don't look at the price level I put. Because I ordered several dishes and special orders to test. (See picture/ video) The prices are good and normal.

Really good food! The Curry’s we ordered were really yummy and the garlic nan was peeeerfect! Really nice and friendly stuff, we got nothing to complain. The food came to the table in a short amount of time as well. So if we are ever in Gdansk again would definitely go there again 🥰

A hidden gem!! I utterly adored the interior—everything was designed in an Indian style, and I loved it! The owner and the waiter were also incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive. And the food…😩😩😩 it was perfect and sooo delicious! I had paneer tikka masala, and my friend ordered paneer butter masala. The portions weren’t very big, but we still felt full for the rest of the day. That was exactly what we needed! Unfortunately, I’m just a tourist, but if I lived in Gdańsk, this would definitely be my favorite restaurant!

On my last trip to Gdańsk, I was desperately hunting for something spicy. After several disappointing attempts at Chinese restaurants, I randomly stumbled upon a place called Shanti. What happened next blew my mind. The food wasn’t just good—it was unforgettable. I remember telling everyone back home that I had one of the best Indian meals of my life in the most unexpected corner of Poland. Not long after, life took me to India itself. Naturally, I went on a mission—trying different restaurants, chasing that same flavor, hoping to find something that could match what I had tasted at Shanti. But nothing came close. The craving stuck with me. So, now that I’m back in Gdańsk, there was no way I was missing a return visit. Tonight, I went back to Shanti for dinner, expecting a great meal—but what I got was so much more. The moment I sat down, one of the staff looked at me and said, “You were here before, right? You were seated outside.” I was stunned. That visit had been nearly 10 months ago. Halfway through my dinner, another man approached me and said, “It’s not your first time here—I remember you.” That man turned out to be the owner. And that’s when the magic happened. What started as small talk about how much I loved the food turned into something unexpected. He invited me across the street to his new restaurant—just six weeks old. We sat down, and somewhere between finishing my wine and starting on rum, the conversation took a turn. We talked about life, about what we do, and about his two sons, who inspire everything he’s working for. And then, somehow, the conversation drifted to Vedanta—the very philosophy that had once shifted my entire outlook on life. The same teachings I’ve carried within me but often forget… neglect… or drift away from as life gets in the way. What was supposed to be a quick dinner at 8 PM turned into a deep, soul-nourishing conversation that stretched past midnight. Sitting there, I was reminded of everything I’d learned but had let slip: To live with intention. To practice gratitude, even for the smallest things. To realign with my journey toward inner peace and happiness. And most importantly—that while finding happiness from within may be difficult, looking for it anywhere else is impossible. Life is funny like that. It knows exactly when to nudge you, when to send you the reminders you didn’t know you needed, just when you need them most. So here’s a reminder for you too, if you’re reading this: Happiness isn’t out there waiting to be found. It’s inside you—closer than you think. Sometimes all it takes is one meal, one conversation, or one visit to Shanti to remember that.
