Babette – pracownia zupy i chleba

It was a rainy day so we wanted something soothing like soup. We tried to go to place just down the street but there was a line out the door and across the street. It seemed that place didn't know how to properly seat people as there were three people a six person table and two people at a four person table. Both of which could have been separated and accommodated more guests. Oh well there loss and our gain. So we walked back and immediately sat here. We ordered the cabbage and meat soup as well as the traditional sour soup. We also shared the tapas for two in which we ordered the egg, maple bacon, and cottage cheese. Everything was very good especially the traditional sour soup. I added a little crushed red pepper to the cabbage and meat which added a nice punch. The red pepper flakes in in a grinder is a fantastic touch. I've never seen that in any restaurant and I'll probably add that to my home kitchen. Overall a very pleasant experience and I feel we ordered, ate, paid and were back in our room before some people were even seated at the place across the street.

A bright spot on a rainy day! I had this spot on my list before we arrived and I’m so glad we made the trip. It was some of the best soup, bread, and accompaniments we’ve tasted. The shop is adorable, the prices are reasonable and the staff is welcoming. I only wished I lived closer to I could visit more often :)

An amazing place to enjoy some really tasting soups paired with fresh bread. There is even the option to buy soups that you can easily reheat and enjoy at home.

Delicious Soups and Tapas, we were there two times during our Gdansk Trip. The portions of the Tapas were a bit small tho.

Soups were delicious. Perfect amount of bread and tapas. The restaurant you would like to sit in on a rainy day. Unfortunately, the manager or just the woman who served us was awful. The facial expressions, the way she threw things on the table and the way she talked to us… made us really uncomfortable. Disappointed.
