We had a wonderful meal at Muro do Bacalhau. We ordered grilled cuttlefish, fresh codfish, fried sweet potato, chocolate mousse with ice cream, and a glass of Verde wine. Everything was absolutely delicious - especially the grilled cuttlefish, which was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. We enjoyed almost every bite. The only thing we left unfinished was the chocolate cake, which was a little too sweet for our taste, but still well made. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience, and we would happily come back again.

We went through quite a few places and reviews to find somewhere to eat, and honestly, our expectations weren’t met. The location was nice - it’s on the quieter side, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Based on reviews and their own suggestions, we ordered three dishes, as they mentioned the portions weren’t very big. Unfortunately, none of the dishes really hit the mark. They weren’t bad exactly, but it was one of those meals where you take a few bites and then lose interest, it was hard to finish all. Each dish seemed okay at first, but the experience overall was just dissatisfying. One major issue was the temperature. We were hoping for something warm and comforting, but everything came out cold or barely room temperature. The roasted beef didn’t have pleasurable taste and texture. The mushroom dish had a strong eggy taste that we didn’t enjoy (not sure if it actually had egg, but that’s how it came across). The cuttlefish dish with sauce had a taste reminiscent of Eastern European soured rye flour soup, which we appreciated but it would be nice if it was a bit thicker. But cuttlefish itself tasted like nothing. To be fair, the prices weren’t too high, with most dishes around 10–15 euros, so it wasn’t a major loss. And while it wasn’t the best dining decision we made on this trip, at least we tried something new. In the end, the food just didn’t match our preferences - everything was a bit too watery, cold for our liking. But if it looks like a place you might enjoy, it could still be worth a try.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant recently, and I must say, the food exceeded my expectations. Each dish was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The highlight of the meal was the main course – tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Even the side dishes were thoughtfully crafted and complemented the main flavors wonderfully. The dessert was the perfect ending – not too sweet, and absolutely delicious. Overall, the experience was delightful, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates great food and a cozy atmosphere.

OMG! It’s been a long time since I have had a meal of such high quality and a very reasonable (even cheap) price. We found this place by accident and I’m so happy who did. My daughter and I shared 4 dishes (2 mains, a side, and a desert), 2 glasses of wine, 2 coffees and a water.. the total was 57 euros. And the food.. I am still in a blissful food euphoria as I keep typing this. Can’t recommend this place enough. Try the Mushrooms and the Roasted Sweet potato. But honestly, everything is just amazing.

The restaurant came highly recommended on YouTube, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! It’s in a beautiful spot right by the river, which made the whole experience even more special. I started with cuttlefish, followed by a comforting Açorda with shrimp, and then moved on to tender, flavorful roast beef. For dessert, I indulged in a decadent chocolate mousse with hazelnut ice cream and crispy bits — pure heaven! The sommelier suggested a 10-year tawny port to go with it, and it was spot-on, perfectly enhancing the rich, nutty flavors of the dessert. Between the gorgeous location, the incredible food, and the perfect wine pairing, it was truly a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. 🍷✨
