Nice restaurant in a quiet street. Really good food at fair prices, with an incredible chocolate mousse. But service needs to be improved. Generally attentive and good, but simple requests like tap water were refused. I was traveling with a sprained ankle and asked for some ice to put on it, if possible in a plastic bag, and that was refused quite rudely. This is the only place in all of Portugal where I had this reaction. Too bad!
The staff was both professional and friendly, increasing the joy of the overall experience. Food was phenomenal, just as the dessert and drinks. Highly recommend, will definitely visit again when given a chance, just to say hi to the staff.
The food here is tasty, with some great Portuguese classics on the menu. The outdoor seating area is a nice touch—quiet and tucked away from busy foot traffic, making it a relaxing place to eat. The only downside was the service; staff were a bit distant and not particularly welcoming. Still, the overall experience was good and worth a visit for the food and atmosphere.
Best Portugees restaurant in town! There was not one point of critique I can give. From the food, the service, the setting. It was all amazing. Definitely the Clams and Bacalhau are a must try.
I don’t understand the current review score of 4.7. Yes, the service is fine, and it’s in a nice spot, but the food is just plain tourist stuff. We spotted the same products you might find in a UK supermarket, the fried squid tasted and looked like a fishy onion ring, whilst the salads had no flavour, over cooked chicken and browning iceberg lettuce. It’s a case of the emperor’s new clothes…
