Amazing local Portuguese tasca! Delicious food. My absolute favourite steak with garlic. Huge portions! Come with family and friends. And great service!

A downtown Tasca with a couple of small and tightly furnished indoor spaces in a traditional decor, a short menu of large servings and a limited wine list with informal young service. We were 2 for lunch that arrived early for a table and chose the couvert with a cheese, for mains shared the fried polvo & potatoes, a large arroz de pato (of which half got in a doggy bag), a cheesecake and a flan, with coffee and waters for €45/pax. All considering, maybe due to downtown location it feels +30% too much.

Got recommended this off-the-beaten-path place by a local friend and food really did not disappoint! The cod with chickpeas and potatoes was yum!And the salad on the side was very refreshing. However, we weren’t greeted or served with much hospitality — which left us surprised since Portugal is known for its warmth. The waiter was visibly annoyed, even strict and inattentive. Of course, we all have our best and worst days, but it still affected our experience — from beginning to end.

Solid 3 star for the food. We ordered the cod for 2 and got kilos of chickpeas covering the cod which was maybe cooked? We were the first or 2nd after they opened so maybe they were not ready. The waiters had a great time talking super loudly with each other, enjoying their company and maybe planning the world order. Us on the other hand tried without luck to eat the cod in a sea of chickpeas. Credit to them the chickpeas were great just a few too many, maybe for 20 tables worth. Anyway go there but know what to expect. For a 2 star experience try the salad.

Very very good food! We loved the bifinhos with garlic, the portions are huge! And price was great for the quantity and quality. Loved it! Staff was very friendly
