We loved Santa Rita so much that we went two nights in a row! On our first visit, we had the seafood soup, octopus salad, codfish cakes, and grilled shrimp. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and very reasonably priced. The next night, we came back to try the seafood rice and octopus rice — different flavors, but both equally delicious. Great food, great value, and such a memorable experience. Highly recommended!
A Hidden Gem Near the Castle! Santa Rita is a true hidden gem in Lisbon. My family and I, with our two children, were looking for a place to eat after visiting the castle and we stumbled upon this restaurant. From the outside, it's unassuming, with only a sign hinting at what's inside. But once you step through the doors, you're greeted with a warm, homey atmosphere and incredible food. The menu is fantastic, offering a great variety of dishes, especially for seafood lovers. We found something for everyone, which can be tough with kids! The grilled sardines and shrimp were outstanding, as were the pasta dishes. I highly recommend trying the white wine sangria—it was my first time, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our meal. It's the kind of place that makes you feel right at home. If you're walking through the Alfama district on your way back from the castle, you should definitely make a stop at Santa Rita. You won't be disappointed!
Excellent dinning experience. Friendly and attentive staff. After a day of sightseeing, based on recommendation of a friend who frequently visits Lisbon, we stopped at Santa Rita for dinner. We arrived around 7:30 PM and seated immediately. There were customers at four other tables. By 8:15 the restaurant was nearly full. We had the grilled octopus and grilled cod which were absolutely superb. Highly recommended.
We were early Saturday customers, the place was clean and tidy. The place offers a variety of local dishes, mainly based on fish and seafood, cooked with great attention. Very tasty bacalhau dishes, which we recommend tasting.
We loved our meal here! Great service and delicious food and refreshing beer. We both ordered a seafood dish and it was so fresh. Great octopus and squid curry with affordable prices. Cod cakes are my new favorite appetizer after eating here!
