Taberna Do Castelo

I had one of the best meals of my trip at this restaurant in Lisbon. The seafood rice was absolutely incredible — rich, flavorful, and packed with fresh local seafood. Every bite was comforting and full of depth, with perfectly cooked rice soaking up the delicious broth. It tasted like the ocean and home at the same time. If you’re looking for an authentic Portuguese dish done right, this is it.

Ate dinner here with wife and 2 young kids. Food was amazing, service was attentive, and eating on the street with trains going by provided a great atmosphere. Sardines were in-season and they tasted terrific along with the octopus. Both cooked on the grills. *Making a reservation on their site, at the time, gave us a 30% discount! YMMV though!

I went to lunch with my two friends. We ordered the daily menu and were pleasantly surprised to find everything was delicious, reasonably priced, and the service was very friendly and attentive. We loved it! Highly recommended!

Very friendly staff, yet a bit average food! We ordered the dish of the day, which comes with wine and a dessert later. The pricing was very fair. However, the white wine tasted more like a vinegar, it was very disappointing. Also, as a dessert, pastel da nata was served and it was not fresh, tasted like it was waiting under heat or something. Main dish was fine tho!

Food is beautiful - freshly caught not frozen! Makes all the difference. Recommend the garlic shrimps and grilled octopus
