The Folks Сhiado - Specialty Coffee, Breakfast & Brunch

The food here is delicious, I highly recommend coming here for brunch. The portions are great and hearty. The scrambled eggs were amazing! The staff are super friendly, they made sure we waited under shade as it was busy that day then called us once a table was free. Good coffees and great vibes.

Wonderful people, good coffee! It is a very popular spot and really busy, so we decided not to take brunch here at the time. Just a coffee. It was nicely made and everything there was very kind. In my hurry to leave, I accidentally forget a toy that I had brought, and was many blocks away when I remembered leaving it on the bench inside the packed café. In other places and other cities, that would have meant it was almost certainly stolen right away. But the employees there took it, and put it aside safely. When I came back, it was right there waiting and I thank them so much for that! Truly nice folks!

The Folks is a great spot to kickstart your day. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by friendly and attentive staff who make you feel welcome right away. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a nice overall vibe that works well for a relaxed breakfast or brunch. The food here is genuinely good — fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions that will definitely keep you full for hours. What really stood out for me was their specialty coffee. It’s clear they take it seriously, offering a variety of quality beans and brewing them to perfection, which is a real treat for coffee lovers. If I had to point out one small thing, it would be the morning music choice — rap music blasting at breakfast time might not be everyone’s cup of tea (or coffee), and I personally would have preferred something softer to match the morning mood. That said, it didn’t overshadow the overall experience. All in all, The Folks is a solid choice for a hearty breakfast, great coffee, and a friendly start to your day.

Superb breakfast food and coffee options. When we went there was a line every day;however, they are organized enough and if there is room, they will let the people in the front of the line to go in and sit by a small waiting area until your table is ready. The wait time was around 10-15 minutes. I had the poached eggs with Greek yogurt and that was my favorite along with the pistachio coffee. I would t recommend large groups of more than 6, as you may have to wait longer at this smaller space restaurant. The staff is quiet, calm, but very efficient. I recommend this place for breakfast!

I'm so excited to share my amazing cafe experience! 🤩 The specialty coffee was incredible, perfectly brewed and so flavorful.☕️ And the food? Absolutely delicious! I tried the syrniki and roast beef toast, both were phenomenal. Definitely a must-try if you're looking for a delightful cafe experience. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu. The staff are also Incredible, so friendly, helpful and very welcoming
